Academic Connect
RIT is a vibrant institution with high level of academic activity, industrial and social interactions which offers a variety of courses with frontier facilities, laboratories, and centers of excellence.The student intake is based on the selection and screening done by Government of Kerala, and top-ranked students join the institute for all of the courses highlighted below. Students professional development is achieved through well-structured course programmes, campus activities and delivery system. With highly qualified human resource, infrastructure and laboratory facilities each department have created capabilities for deliverables in 2-3 focus areas. Technical skills of students are enhanced through internships, industrial training, and industry projects that they undertake during the course. They interact with industry practitioners, professors and scientists from leading academic and research institutes within and outside the country under various institute schemes. Students are active components of numerous funded projects undertaken in the institute sponsored by CERD, KSCSTE, DST, TEQIP, etc. They are actively involved in developing innovative ideas leading to entrepreneurship initiatives in start-up village at Cochin and TBIs in the Institute.
RIT stands tall with respect to student outcomes in terms of academics, higher studies & employment. The institution maintains excellent academic outcomes as is visible in terms of university toppers produced each year and the pass percentage being within top five in the State. Our students regularly get through IAS, IES, GATE and other public service exams. Number of recruiters in various sectors such as IT, manufacturing, communications, consulting and services place our students in large numbers every year. Apart from this, we encourage startups and business ventures through the Entrepreneurship Development Club and Industry Institute Interaction Cell. Within 25 years since its inception, we have made a strong Alumni presence in the Industry and Academia within the State and at National level.
