Welcome!! Research @ Rit
The Government of Kerala started Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT) in 1991 with the intention of making it a center for post graduate and research studies. After 33 years of its existence, RIT has now become a sought after centre for doctoral studies. RIT is actively involved in diverse areas of research work leading to PhD degree under the departments of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Architecture. Opportunities exist for candidates to do full-time as well as part-time research in the institute under the schemes offered by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (APJKTU). In addition to this, RIT is an AICTE approved centre for Ph. D under QIP (Quality Improvement Programme) and ADF (AICTE Doctoral Fellowship) schemes. The doctoral programmes at RIT are currently affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. There are approved Ph. D guides in all the departments of RIT. Majority of the full time Ph. D scholars receive fellowships from various government schemes sponsored by KTU, Higher education, ADF etc.
