The dedicated and experienced faculty members of the department are trained from the premier institutes in the country like IITs and IISc and are experts in their chosen areas .A balanced blend of senior visionaries and young vibrant faculties provide a dynamic and proactive environment in the department .The department is keen about keeping updated about the growing demands and the changing trends of the industry and research arena. So seminars and workshops are organized periodically for faculty and students to impart an awareness on emerging trends. The invited lectures delivered by faculties from premier institutions and industries under visiting faculty schemes and Industry Institute Interaction programmes helps to strengthen the basic concepts and widen the horizon of knowledge.
The computing facility of the Department consists of a state-of-the-art network of computers spread over 6 separate labs and SDPK (Skill Delivery Platform) running with servers for research and learning purposes. The various labs are Operating System lab, Data base Management lab, Hardware lab, Networking lab, Advanced Computing and Analytics lab. The department has a team of qualified and committed technical staff who manages these facilities efficiently.
The UG programme of the department was accredited by NBA in 2007-2010, 2015-2018 and currently for the period 2019-2021. The practices recommended by outcome-based education (OBE) are followed in the department and are periodically reviewed by class committee, class PTA, department advisory board and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).The fact that the department has been accredited by NBA for nine years provides confidence and assurance on the quality of academic standards maintained by the dept to various stakeholders including students.
