Internal Quality Assurance Cell of RIT organized a two day workshop on 23-24 January 2024 on outcome based education for the faculties of various departments of RIT. The workshop was led by Dr.Elizabeth Elias ,NBA Team Chairman, Retired Professor, NIT Calicut and Dr. Sunil K.S Assistant Professor, Computer Science Engineering ,GEC Idukki.
Department of Electronics and communication engineering organized a workshop on Robotics and AI for the faculties on 15 July 2024. The focus of the workshop was on Matlab tools for artificial intelligence and robotics. Dr.Pranav Lad, Senior Engineer from Mathworks led the Workshop.
Dr. RezuanaBai, Professor, ECE, RIT conducted a familiarization workshop on MyDAQ, a low cost portable data acquisition device that uses LABVIEW based software instruments allowing students to measure and analyze real world signals.
Dr.Michael George, Assistant Professor, Dept.of Electronics and Communication Engineering RIT Kottayam delivered a lecture on his recently granted Indian Patent titled "A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ABNORMAL ACTIVITY DETECTION USING AUTOENCODING AND PARALLELEPIPED SPATIO-TEMPORAL REGION". This invention developed an automated video surveillance system that detected abnormal activity with increased computational efficiency. The program was conducted on 23 February 2024.
An Expert Talk on Mobile Robotics, was conducted for the S2 M.Tech (Robotics & Artificial Intelligence) students at the Dept. Of Electronics & Communication Engineering, RIT Kottayam on 14-02-2025 FN. The resource person for the talk is Prof. Chinn Mohanan, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics Engineering, Saintgits College of Engineering, Pathamuttom, Kottayam.
