INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMISSION TO RIT
- All candidates should register for admission using the link given below:
https://rit.etlab.in/newregistration
Click on B-Tech (REGULAR) for B.Tech admission and BARCH for B.Arch admission. Take a printout of the application form, affix a recent passport size photograph, affix your signature and get the signature of your parent/ guardian in the subsequent pages. If this registration process is not completed before arrival, the admission process will get delayed.
- Only one person is permitted to accompany the candidate for the entire admission process.
- Student should present a valid identity proof (Aadhaar card, voter id, or similar document), in original, at the time of admission.
- If the student is unable to attend the admission process, he/she can authorize a person. The authorized person shall produce the authorization letter (https://rit.ac.in/admission-2026.php), signed by the student and the parent, and attested by a Gazetted Officer. The authorized person shall have the original and a copy of an identity proof with him/her.
- Collect the token from help desk (Located at ground floor of the administrative block), from there you will be directed to the waiting room (Sopanam hall).
- Arrange all your certificates in the order given below.
- You will be called for the admission process as per the token issued.
- Please take sufficient photocopies of all your original certificates, get them attested by a Gazetted officer, prior to arriving college.
- Your original certificates will be verified during the admission process.
- At the end of the admission process, you will receive an admission memo downloaded from KEAM website. Please ensure to collect this admission memo before leaving the college.
If hostel admission required, please refer to Hostel Admission Guidelines , and submit following documents:
- Copy of Adhar card
- Copy of Income Certificate
- Passport size Photo (1 no)
- SC/ST, OEC, OBCH- Valid Caste certificate
- BPL Category- Copy of Ration card
- PH- Medical certificate/UDID card

₹ Institutional fee payment
In addition to the fees paid to CEE, the students may be required to pay an amount of Rs.19,500* (in cash/ Gpay) under various heads, at the time of admission in the college.

- EWS quota - only for forward community having income not above 4 lakh or should produce Income and Asset statement in the financial year 2024-25 or AAY/PHH certificate.
Note: The students belonging to B.Sc stream should read the clause 4.1.2. in the prospectus given in the L.B.S. portal for 2026-27 admission.
₹ Institutional fee payment
In addition to the fees paid according to the fee payment slip in LBS portal, the students may be required to pay an approximate amount of ₹17,000* as institutional fees, under various heads, at the time of admission in the college.

August 2026 - Instructions to Candidates
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND PROCEDURE FOR ENROLMENT ON AUGUST 14 FOR CANDIDATES ALLOTTED THROUGH SPECIAL ALLOTMENT
General Instructions
- 1. Reporting Time: Candidates allotted through special allotment shall report to the Administrative Block, RIT on August 14 between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM for the admission process. Candidates are requested to report within the specified time along with the required documents.
- 2. Before arriving at the campus/before the day of admission, allotted candidates can submit their basic information through this link of RIT. Once the information is successfully submitted, candidates can download their registration form. Candidates are requested to print a copy of the registration form in advance before arriving at the campus and keep the temporary number on the registration form for future reference.
- 3. If any candidate is unable to perform the registration steps as mentioned above in Step 1, they will be able to do it after arriving at RIT, at the Centre Computing Facility (CCF).
- 4. Avoid crowding inside and outside the admission hall. Only one parent/guardian will be allowed along with the candidate.
- 5. The validity and correctness of the documents will be checked.
- 6. Only those candidates who are found to be qualified, as stipulated in the prospectus of MCA admission, shall be admitted to the MCA program.

7. The list of documents to be produced and submitted to the institution at the time of admission:

In addition to the fees paid to the LBS Centre for Science and Technology, students may be required to pay an amount of Rs. 15,000 as institutional fees under various heads.
Important Note: Whatever is given above are only guidelines. You shall bring all the original certificates relevant to your application as mentioned in the MCA Prospectus. All the certificates must be produced for verification at the time of admission on August 14. Candidates will not be given any chance to produce the original documents/certificates asked for, on a subsequent occasion.
The Spot Allotment for the vacant seats in various M.Tech programmes at RIT Kottayam is scheduled to be held on 11-08-2026 (Tuesday) at 9:00 a.m.
Candidates who wish to participate in the Spot Admission process must register at the Registration Counter in the Administration Block of the college on 11-08-2026 (Tuesday). Registration will be open only from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
INSTRUCTIONS:
I. Those candidates who have already taken admission in Government Engineering colleges/Govt-Aided Engineering colleges should bring:
- Proof of admission (Admission slip issued by the college last admitted)
- Copy of all the original certificates
- MCAP 2026 Data Sheet
Their admission will be confirmed only if they produce all original certificates before 13-08-2026 by 3:00 pm.
Candidates who have taken admission in institutions other than Govt. Engineering colleges/Aided Colleges should bring No Objection Certificate from the previously admitted college.
II. Those candidates who have not taken admission anywhere till date should bring all documents in original for verification.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates belonging to the General category must have 60% or above, SEBC/OBC candidates must have 55% or above, and SC/ST candidates must have passed the qualifying examination.

Candidates who are allotted a seat through Spot Admission must complete the admission process on the same day by paying an approximate amount of Rs. 30,000 (inclusive of the Government-regulated academic fee and institutional fees under various heads) to confirm their admission.
If a candidate is unable to attend the spot admission, he/she may send a representative with an authorization letter in the form given in Annexure K and all the required documents to complete the admission process on his/her behalf.
